Iver Uhre Dahl
(Nor. 1995)
Iver Uhre Dahl has had a passion for wood since his early childhood in Norway. This is reflected in his work. He began at the art academy in Oslo, but at the KABK in The Hague (Netherlands) wood finally became ‘his’ material. Uhre Dahl’s sculptures, mainly made of linden wood, are symbolic figurations with a focus on the human body. His works are tactile and also literally tangible. The soft, warm tone of his linden wood forms stands in exciting contrast to the direct, mercilessly zoomed-in motifs and figures. The sculptures are often small, but have a big impact.
Uhre Dahl was one of the 5 artists from abroad in the exhibition Across Borders (Over de Grens 2023), was art Art The Hague (2023), Positions Berlin (2024) and the gallery exhibition Posities (2024)
