Anne Schillings

Anne Schillings was ‘fresh’ from the HKU when we first showed her work. She graduated in illustration but in a short time, via a fruitful residency in the garden pavilion of the KF Hein fonds, she suddenly made enormous paintings in oil paint. In the meantime, we have already been able to accommodate two of her enormous paintings in beautiful collections. One of them is so large that the new owner cannot find a place for it and the gallery has found another location: the Princess Maxima Children’s Oncology Hospital in Utrecht.

Schillings has already been on display at the Moving Gallery several times. At the end of 2023/beginning of 2024 in the exhibition Uitzicht together with Anna Reerds.

She has her own exuberant kind of new-impressionist style. For her next exhibition, a solo, Schillings will make new appealing paintings with colorful views inspired by her (second) Kyoto residency in Japan at the end of 2024.
